Former Caldwell Wrestler/MMA

Former Caldwell Co. wrestlers Kegan Agnew and Gavin Agnew competed in Corbin Ky. MMA event 11-21-15.  Kegan Agnew fought at a catch weight of 165 due to the champion that was scheduled to fight Kegan had to drop out of the event. Kegan won his fight-submission by triangle choke in the first round and Gavin won by TKO in the second round.  Kegan is currently 4-1 while his brother Gavin is undefeated and currently has 5 wins.

Tiger Wrestling Club done really well this past Saturday at Trigg Invitational tournament.  75lbs. Riley Johnson was champing of that weight and Blaine Hicks complied a couple of wins in that weight class.  80lbs. weight class James Jones finished 4th, losing in the semifinals and wrestling back through the wrestle backs to the medal rounds,  86lbs. Dylan Walls won that weight and was voted outstanding wrestler of the tournament.  Cayden Hopwood wrestled in that weight also and lost a close match by two points in wrestle backs that put him out of the tournament. 92lbs. Colin Walls was one win away from making the medal rounds. 105lbs. Semaj Kimbro finished the day in the top 6 one win away from the medal rounds.  Jon Paredes placed 3rd at 152lbs. Jon's semi consolation match was down to the wire going into the ultimate tie breaker.  Isaac Paredes was runner up at the 240lbs. weight class.

UHA 2014 Middle School opener

Tiger Wrestling Club finished the day with 6 of the 14 wrestlers finishing in the top 4.  70lbs. Riley Johnson finished 3rd, 75lbs. Braxton Hubbard 2nd and Dylan Walls 3rd. 113lbs. Seth Slayton finished 4th.  Hunter Dennison finished 4th at 168lbs. and Deontaye Walls finished 4th at 190lbs.  Cofy Harris & Kaleb O'Campo were both a match away from finishing in the top four, while the rest of the Tiger Wrestling Club finished the day in the top 8.  It was a very successful day for this young group of wrestlers at University Heights Academy.

Region Duel 2014

After 17yrs the Caldwell Co. Wrestling team has qualified for the State Duel Tournament held in Mt. Sterling Ky.  Caldwell were runner ups behind Union County. 

KOB tournament in Fairdale Ky.

Caldwell Varsity had 3 place this past weekend at KOB.  Braden Sperry finished 3rd at 138lbs., Dylan Gray got runner-up at 126lbs. and Kegan Agnew came away with the championship at 152lbs.

Tiger Wrestling Club had 18 attend the tournament and out of those 18 there was 9-Champs, 2-Runner Ups, and 2-third place finishers.
