This tournament was the toughest tournament that our squad has competed in up to this point. Several teams in this tournament were ranked as a team in the top five of their state and a couple was either defending champs or runner-ups for their state. I was really pleased with the effort that the boys put out; we had 5 matches that we were winning and lost late in the match; those matches go the other way and your looking at 4 or 5 place winners instead of just one; but with a young team like this that is just something we haven’t been exposed to and now we have. The good thing is regular season is almost like preseason due to the fact that what really counts is regional and state. I’m glad we are able to expose ourselves to situations like this and learn from them so that we win those 1-point matches when it comes time for regional and state tournaments.

- 171- Gavin Agnew went 4-1 tied for 3rd due to the five-match rule. Gavin lost to Stephen King from Independence. Gavin had wins over Ethan Hamilton from Hartselle, Jason Hunter from Beech, Adam Wells from Blackman High, & Calvin McNeely from Christian Co.
- 189-Kyle Proffitt went 2-2; losing to Chip Norwood from Cleveland & Christian Tambellini from Independence. Kyle had wins over Tarrence Hill from Cordova & John Fleming from North Hardin.
- 215-Channing Revelett went 1-2; losing to Tim Waters from Creekwood & Aaron Conyers from Hunters Lane. Channing had a win over Dustin Jones from Arlington
- 285-Tanner Flynn went 2-2; losing to Quintin Robinson from Hunters Lane & Houston Croney from Christian Co. Tanner had wins over Bobby Posey from Sparkman & Justin Browder from North Hardin.
