Caldwell hosted the 2009 Regional Duel this weekend that consisted of eleven teams total: Apollo, Caldwell, Calloway, Christian, Daviess, Fort Campbell, Hopkinsville, Ohio, Paducah, Union, and UHA. Caldwell finished sixth as a team for the day with a combined win/loss record of 2-3. Union County won the tournament and Ohio County came in second. Both teams will represent Region One at the State Duels tournament this next weekend January 3, 2009. The Tigers had Apollo first round and came away with a 45-27 win. We won eight out of the nine matches that we had. In the second round the tigers pulled out a 46-36 win over Calloway winning eight of the nine matches. Third round was the semi final round. The tigers competed against Christian County losing 51-35 and the Tigers won five of the nine matches that round. That loss meant the best we could do as a team was fourth and we had Daviess County up next. The Tigers lost 48-34. That was a really tough loss, we watched one of our fellow wrestlers Dylan Hale be taken to the hospital due to an injury during the 140lb. match. Caldwell won six of the nine matches that round. During our fifth and final match the tigers faced off against Paducah final score was 47-36 Paducah over Caldwell. During that duel Caldwell won six of the nine matches that we had. I was really pleased with the performance of the team today. Everyone wrestled to the best of their performance and displayed great determination. We had three go undefeated for the day and three to only have one loss out of the nine wrestlers.

- 103 Kegan Agnew went 4-1; his only loss was to T. Lyle from Christian. Kegan had wins over J.Knott from Daviess, K. Hudson from Apollo, Calloway, and Paducah.
- 112 Clay Revelett went 4-1; his only loss was to J.Killebrew from Christian. Clay had wins over Daviess, Apollo, Calloway, and Paducah.
- 119 Matt Smith went 2-3; Matt lost to Pitman from Paducah, Jenkins form Daviess, and Griffin from Apollo. Matt had wins over Christian and Calloway.
- 140 Dylan Hale went 2-1; his only loss was to A. Adams form Christian. Dylan had wins over Calloway, and Z. Mitchell from Apollo.
- 152 John Boitnott went 1-4; John lost to Taylor from Calloway, Pitman from Paducah, Henderson from Christian, and J. Allen from Daviess. John had a win over M. Horton from Apollo.
- 160 Steven Lamb went 5-0; Steven had wins over S. Williams from Apollo, Manning from Calloway, D. Riley from Paducah, Armstrong from Daviess, and Trice from Christian Co.
- 171 Gavin Agnew went 5-0; Gavin had wins over J. Kidd from Apollo, Calloway, J. Hodge from Paducah, B. Lelazy from Daviess, and Christian Co.
- 189 Kyle Proffitt went 5-0; Kyle had wins over Daviess, J. Rich from Christian, Paducah, Calloway, and Apollo.
- 215 Tanner Flynn went 4-1; Tanner’s only loss was from G. Franklin from Paducah, Tanner had wins over T. Collins from Daviess, Calloway, Apollo, and M. Payne from Christian.
- 285 Channing Revelett went 2-3; Channing lost to H. Croney from Christian, E. Brewick from Daviess, and Potts from Calloway. Channing had wins over M. Bowlds from Apollo and Paducah.
